Just west of the Ashland on the south side of Irving Park Rd is this 24 hour converted railroad car diner. Eats are cheap, you can fill up for under $5 on any kind of diner food your little ex con heart desires. Sit at a long counter, play some Buddy Holly on the mini jukebox consoles and read a copy of the Onion while the grizzled fry cook slaps your burgur/hash/french toast onto the blackened grill in front of your eyes. Excellent food, reasonable prices, only seats about 10 but the wait is fast. If you're cool you might see a magic trick or two.
