The Roxy is the ultimate 24-hour greasy spoon. The food is exceptional: breakfast entrees like the Soylent Green Omelet and the Britney Spears/Pam Anderson/Dolly Parton pancakes (how do you like them stacked?), the best humburgers found anywhere in Portland (each named after a local gay bar), and my personal favorite, the Gus Van Sammich. All very affordable, so tip well — the staff will remember you, you will want to stay on their good side.
The ambience: a jukebox with a good mix of classic punk, indie rock and a smattering of 80's rap, walls covered with autographed photos of movie and porn stars, and a massive display case full of oddball Barbie dolls. Definitely the sleazy side of kitsch.
You might hear the busser mutter "pussy" if you turn down the coffee. Drink the damn coffee.
