Katz's Deli

618 West 6th Street
Austin, TX

all damned night!

Katz's is a "typical New York kosher-style deli" in the heart of Austin.

Being right on sixth street, it's a convenient place to eat after a long night out on the town. The only downside to the location is that there's typically a wait at those times when you're most hungry.

Sandwiches are $7-9. Breakfast (served all day) and dinner entrees are as much as $10 and $14 respectively. The daily specials often offer a good deal on common menu items.

You'll never leave this place hungry. The server up a free bucket of pickles on request while you're waiting for your food. And once you get that food, the portions are huge.

The pot roast should be avoided. It is entirely too bland, but it's not so bad on a sandwich. The Eggs Linda is a favorite. And you simply must try the Reuben.
